The family of slain Kaizer Chiefs defender Luke Fleurs is close to finding justice after the Gauteng police confirmed the arrest of six suspects.

Fleurs was murdered in an alleged attempted highjack last week while at a filling station nearby his residence in Florida.

The 24-year-old defender had yet to make his official debut for Chiefs at the time of his passing after joining them at the start of the year.

Now, the police have confirmed nabbing the six suspects in the early hours of Wednesday, 10 April at Slovoville in Soweto.

Furthermore, the Gauteng police said Fleurs’ car was recovered on Monday, 8 April although it had already been stripped.

Fleurs was driving a red Golf 8 GTI at the time of his death.

More arrests are expected as police continue their investigation into the murder of the young South African Olympian.
