Bafana Bafana squad: Kaizer Chiefs star finally named

Hugo Broos has finally named a Kaizer Chiefs player in his Bafana Bafana squad. In fact, the Amakhosi star makes a return to the national setup.

Broos named his final 23-man squad for the FIFA series in Algeria.

Noticeably, for Amakhosi fans, they finally have a player in the national squad.

CHIEFS STAR NAMED IN BAFANA BAFANA SQUAD

Bruce Bvuma is the sole representative from Naturena named in the South African side.

Furthermore, Amakhosi fans finally have something to celebrate having had no players in the AFCON squad.

Meanwhile, Bvuma is one of three goalkeepers selected. He joins captain Ronwen Williams (Mamelodi Sundowns) and Ricardo Goss (SuperSport United).

JOURNEY BACK TO THE TOP FILLED WITH CHALLENGES FOR BVUMA

Bvuma has had to fight hard to return to the Bafana Bafana set up.

Furthermore, he was even struggling for game time at Chiefs under Molefi Ntseki last season and at the start of the season with Cavin Johnson.

Both Johnson and Ntseki opted for Brandon Peterson in goal with Itumeleng Khune as back-up. Ironically, Bvuma was even linked with a possible exit due to lack of game time. However, he stuck it out – staying dedicated and committed to his career at Naturena.

His hard work, along with some game-changing events have seen him return to the starting berth at Chiefs.

Now, he is back in the national setup. Therefore, it is clear that hard work and dedication pays off.

Are there any other Amakhosi players you want to see in the national team picture? Let us know in the comments below!
