Foden’s brace sinks Man United at the Etihad

Manchester City’s Phil Foden scored two goals to help his side beat Manchester United 3-1 at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday evening.

City recovered from a goal down to beat Man United 3-1 in derby.

Marcus Rashford’s thunderous goal gave Erik ten Hag the advantage but Foden levelled on 56 minutes with a screamer into the top corner from 20 yards, then scored a delightful second ten minutes from the end of normal time.

Erling Haaland wrapped up victory with a clinical finish following excellent work by Rodrigo to make it 3-1 in added time as the Blues moved within a point of leaders Liverpool.

Foden has scored 11 goals in the league so far this season and has emerged as one of Pep Guardiola’s trusted players. The England forward was vibrant throughout the match before an ice-cold finish got the crucial second of the evening.
