Polokwane City have reportedly entered the race to sign Orlando Pirates midfielder Fortune Makaringe.
Makaringe has been linked with a move away from the club due to limited game-time.
The 30-year-old has made just ONE start for Orlando Pirates so far this season. In total, the former Maritzburg United star has played just under 290 minutes of action since the beginning of the 2023/24 campaign.
Sekhukhune United emerged as the favourites to sign him however new reports suggest Polokwane City have entered the race to land him!

Polokwane City enter race to sign Orlando Pirates man
“They (Bucs management) already know that there are clubs that want Makaringe and its not only those two (Sekhukhune and Polokwane City).” an insider told Citizen.
“They hear these things and people always talk. I guess that’s how it is with a lot people, once a player doesn’t play much they think that he is leaving the team and they want to enquire about his services.”

In other news, Kaizer Chiefs legend Bernard Parker has broken his silence on the leg breaking tackle he received from Mamelodi Sundowns’ Bongani Zungu.
Now plying his trade for TS Galaxy. Bernard Parker was on the receiving end of a leg breaking tackle last month.
The Bafana Bafana legend underwent immediate surgery. He is now on the mend however he’ll remain on the sidelines for an extended period of time

“I think there was ill intent in the Zungu tackle,” Parker told SportsNightAmplified on MetroFM.
“I think it was a build up of emotions from him and looking at the two goals scored by Galaxy and how he was involved. When the incident happened, it was building up to it. We are all human and things like that do happen, I am not angry.”
