Zungu horror leg-breaking tackle on Bernard Parker (watch)

Former Kaizer Chiefs star Bernard Parker fell foul to a reckless challenge from Sundowns midfielder Bongani Zungu that will put him out of action for some time.

Kaizer Chiefs hero Parker sustained a sickening injury

Bernard Parker, a veteran of the PSL, appeared to break his leg in the 58th minute after an over-the-top tackle from Bongani Zungu. Zungu was immediately shown red by the referee after players responded in shock to the incident. 31-year-old Zungu, who hasn’t been a regular in Rulani’s team, appeared to be perplexed and disappointed by the decision. In the heat of the moment, perhaps he didn’t know what had happened and we can’t judge what his motives were when making the tackle, but it looked to be reckless behaviour.
