Unhappy Chiefs reject still searching for a new club

Kaizer Chiefs reject and midfielder Kamohelo Mahlatsi is still searching for a new football club after leaving the Soweto giants.

Phakaaathi reports that an informer close to the player, Mahlatsi is still searching for a new club since parting with Chiefs on mutual consent.

The 25-year-old Mahlatsi has been without a club since leaving the Naturena-based Chiefs last month after his move to Chiefs aiming to revive the club.

CHIEFS REJECT STILL SEARCHING FOR A NEW CLUB

Chiefs are still looking to end the unwanted trophy drought they have endured for eight years and coach Molefi Ntseki will hope to bring back glory days.

Mahlatsi struggled to break into the starting line-up at Chiefs and spent most of his time in the stands watching his teammates play.

“I don’t think any player who was in Mahlatsi’s situation would be at a good place with himself during that time at Chiefs, especially when you know that you have the ability to help the club,” a source told Phakaaathi’s Mgosi squad.

“I don’t know what went wrong, and why he was not playing. But, he has made peace with that and he is looking forward to playing football again. He has been talking with some clubs for a move.”

EX-CHIEFS STAR IN TALKS WITH PSL CLUBS

The source adds that the dreadlocked midfielder is not happy about what transpired at Chiefs, but he is just crossing his fingers to show his worth at his new team soon.

“I don’t want to name the clubs just yet, I just want to see him signing and let you know that it’s a done deal,” adds the informer.

“He has been training very hard and he just can’t wait to be on the pitch again. He needs a chance and hopefully, that chance will come very soon.

“His mates are playing week in and week out at their respective clubs, he wants that as well. I am sure wherever he goes he will be a valuable asset to them.”

Meanwhile, The South African understands that Mahlatsi has been in touch with PSL sides such as Moroka Swallows and SuperSport United.

Mahlatsi joined Amakhosi in June 2022 from the Dube Birds as he initially signed for Chiefs until 2025 but his contract was terminated.
