Frenetic Final Minutes Conclude in Draw

KENNESAW, Ga. – North Florida women’s soccer (4-6-5, 2-3-3 ASUN) escaped Fifth Third Bank Stadium with a league point thanks to the foot of Sophia Goetz and the head of Paige McSwigan as UNF got the equalizer in the 88th minute in a 1-1 draw at Kennesaw State (3-7-5, 2-4-2 ASUN) Sunday, Oct. 8.

Both goals came in the second half as the Owls broke the deadlock in the 69th minute after Jade Barkett poked home a loose ball in the box. The Ospreys pushed for an equalizer and in the 88th minute Goetz found the head of Paige McSwigan in the box who nodded home her third goal of the campaign.
