Tembo skating on thin ice but unfazed by poor start

As they remain winless since the start of the 2023/24 DStv Premiership season, Richards Bay boss Kaitano Tembo is unfazed but is he skating on thin ice?

Based in KwaZulu-Natal, Tembo’s Bay succumbed to a 1-0 loss against Sundowns as newly signed star, Junior Mendieta scored the only goal.

While the Natal Rich Boyz are yet to win and having lost three out of their four league matches, Tembo believes there’s a glimmer of hope.

“I can see that there is a little bit of identity in terms of what we want them to do and the way we want them to play.

“I think with Sundowns, it doesn’t make any difference if you sit back and they score first, then you will come out and it may be a little bit late.”

Their next league match is against Sekhukhune United who are blowing hot and cold and the clash will be at King Zwelithini Stadium next Wednesday.
