Kaizer Chiefs hauled before PSL DC over fan misconduct

Kaizer Chiefs have been hauled before the PSL Disciplinary Committee (PSL DC) for the behaviour of their fans last week Sunday.

Amakhosi were at Mbombela Stadium for their league encounter against TS Galaxy who they lost 1-0 to on the day.

After the game, a section of Chiefs fans out in the stands threw plastic bottles at coach Molefi Ntseki as he was about to leave the pitch.

This was their way of expressing dissatisfaction at the result while also callling for Ntseki’s immediate resignation as Chiefs head coach.

Now, PSL prosecutor Zola Majavu has confirmed that Chiefs faces a charge of misconduct for what happened in Mbombela.

Majavu further revealed that Chiefs will get the chance to plead on Tuesday, 29 August, and that the verdict will be communicated once matter is finalised.

KAIZER CHIEFS IN HOT WATER WITH THE PSL

“I confirm that I preferred charges of misconduct against Kaizer Chiefs Football Club. This is as a result of a ‘missile-throwing incident’ that transpired in match between themselves and TS Galaxy this past Sunday,” said Majavu in a PSL statement.

“They have been scheduled to appear before the PSL DC on Tuesday, 29 August.”

“Once the DC has pronounced its verdict and the matter is finalised, I will then give then give a further update.”
