Lakay set for move to SuperSport United

Last season, Sundowns powered to a sixth successive league title, and there is no doubt that in the coming years there are ambitions for the club to not only continue to dominate the local scene, but to achieve great success in Africa.

As the Brazilians have headed into a new season, there has been some restructuring in terms of personnel, and after much speculation about the future of Lyle Lakay, it appears he is now set to make his departure.

According to iDiski Times, the 31-year-old is set for permanent move to SuperSport, where he will take up a two-year deal.

PLAYER MOVEMENT FOR LAKAY

Lakay’s future at Sundowns always seemed unclear after he was loaned out to Cape Town City in what did come as quite a surprise last season, and it was reported for in recent times that his contract would not be renewed.

The defender has previously played for SuperSport, and is seen as a good candidate to offer experience in the left-back position.
