‘Focused’ Chiefs boss Molefi Ntseki fires a salvo at his critics

Kaizer Chiefs boss Molefi Ntseki is focused on his job but has fired a salvo at his critics, saying even top coaches have their own doubters.

The Amakhosi coach, Ntseki is tasked with bringing the glory days back to Naturena-based Chiefs as they will face Cape Town City in the MTN8 this weekend.

As one of the most doubted coaches in the DStv Premiership, Ntseki has now reacted and fired a salvo at his critics.

With the club having failed to taste cup glory for the past eight seasons, there’s no doubt that Ntseki will become Chiefs’ darling should he lift the Wafa Wafa crown.

He is facing scrutiny from Amakhosi fans and the entire football fraternity as he is yet to win a match since replacing Arthur Zwane before the start of the season.

“Look, in football, you play every game to win. And I don’t think the MTN8 or any other cup is different,” said Ntseki per Phakaaathi.

“Every win is important and is celebrated because you feel better about yourself after winning.

“Even the top coaches at the top clubs (go through this)…There will always be people who don’t have confidence in their work.

“People who don’t have confidence in their knowledge of the game. But what is important is for us to have confidence in ourselves and believe in what we are doing.

“We have to trust the process. And I think our process is a very positive one. As a club we know what we are doing.

CHIEFS COACH IS FOCUSING DESPITE CRITICS

While many fans believe Chiefs didn’t want to lure an experienced coach with an attractive CV, the humble Ntseki added that he is focusing on his task.

“The club has done well to get us new players and the readiness (to win things) comes from the players,” he added.
