Swallows close in on loan move for Amazulu man

Tshegofatso Mabasa has been loaned to the Moroka Swallows for the entire season, while negotiations are on to sign Siphesihle Maduna from AmaZulu.

iDiski Times reports: “[The] South Africa international striker concluded his move on Thursday and the club is now looking to lure Maduna next to Dobsonville Stadium.

“The playmaker was informed that he’s not part of the first-team plans under new Usuthu head coach Pablo Franco, and sources close to the club have suggested a swap deal is close to being concluded which will see long-serving midfielder Tlakusani Mthethwa move to KZN.”

Chiefs fullback Reeve Frosler has confirmed that he rejected a move abroad to remain ay Naturena for the upcoming season.

“I think between all parties, we agreed that I rather focus on where I am right now and continue working at Kaizer Chiefs,” Frosler told Lorenz Kohler of iDiski Times before opening up on the 2023/24 season that awaits this weekend.

“It’s a new season, a new chapter for us, we just have to stay focused, stay positive and for me personally try and keep myself injury free.

“In the past it’s not been the best for me with injuries, picking up freakish injuries if you can call it that, [my] jaw breaking, yeah it’s just injuries that don’t normally occur but just to keep fit and ready to play throughout this season.”
