Chiefs to sign Maritzburg attacker?

Kaizer Chiefs have not woken up as a sleeping giant, but it is not without trying. A new report says Amakhosi are setting sights on one of the most exciting attacking midfielders in the DStv Premiership.

Despite a mild season with inconsistent appearances for the Team Of Choice, the 22-year-old Human showed glimpses of his high technical quality and speed, particularly in the final game of the season against Mamelodi Sundowns.

According to the latest edition of Soccer Laduma, as shared by @SirTshemedi, Chiefs have been monitoring the Johannesburg-born player and Bidvest Wits Academy graduate.

The report further added that Human’s contract with Marizburg will be ending in June, though the club has a one-year extension option.

In other news, Chiefs have to organise a new parking lot at Naturena. Thatayaone Ditlhokwe is coming to start his career as a Glamour Boy.

As The South African previously reported in recent months, Amakhosi scooped the Botswana international on a pre-contract. The 24-year-old will join the Soweto giants after 87 appearances in the Premier Soccer League with Matsatsantsa a Pitori.

“So I don’t think there’s pressure that can come more than what I already passed through.

“It’s a normal challenge that every player goes through, and for you to grow, you must have challenges. You need to be tested. It’s a big test, I know, but at the end of the day. I will manage the way I always have.

“As a player from Botswana, my ambition was to come and play in South Africa, then do my level best and come out of South Africa, do my best in each and every game, and then leave South Africa; that’s my aim,” he added.

Meanwhile, Amakhosi have also secured another central defender in Given Msimango.
