Former Orlando Pirates keeper set for PSL return!

Former Orlando Pirates goalkeeper Jackson Mabokgwane is officially free to join any top flight club.

The 35-year-old shot stopper was most recently relegated from the Motsepe Foundation Championship with Black Leopards last season.

After going months on the sidelines, Mabokgwane secured a move to Lidoda Duvha last season however his efforts weren’t enough as they were relegated from the second tier.

He is however free to return to the PSL immediately after becoming a free agent!

Mabokgwane has racked up over 150 top flight appearances thus far in his career.

Former Orlando Pirates goalkeeper hoping for PSL return

“It’s part of football. I joined the team late and all the best to the team. As I said I needed a season to get game time, and I did exactly that.” the former Orlando Pirates goalkeeper told iDiskiTimes.

“I’ll be leaving the team obviously and I’m wishing the team all the best. The future looks bright.

“I’m an experienced goalkeeper and looking forward to adding value to my next team, which you will find out about in the near future.

“There are teams that we are talking to my manager is the one who is dealing with all these things. For me now it’s off-season and I’m spending time with family.”

In other news, interest is pouring in for an Orlando Pirates attacker who’s set to leave the club.

The Ghanaian attacker joined the Buccaneers in 2021 from King Faisal FC. Despite scoring nine goals in his opening season at the club, Peprah was shipped out on loan to Maritzburg United.

Peprah struggled to impress at Maritzburg United who are on the brink of getting relegated to the Motsepe Foundation Championship.

There is some good news though for Peprah with Tanzanian giants Azam FC and Young Africans both interested in signing him!

According to local publication Unplayable, both Azam and Young Africans are chasing the Ghanaian striker’s striker!
