Nasreddine Nabi is widely expected to take the reins at Kaizer Chiefs next season, and he could bring a few Yanga treble winners with him.

Nabi to bring proven winners to Naturena

Fiston Mayele has been a long to medium term target for Kaizer Chiefs, and it would make a lot of sense if he joined his Yanga boss and moved to Naturena. He would be a natural candidate to lead the line in Nabi’s favoured system. With Ranga Chivaviro seemingly headed to Pirates, Mayele will now be Chiefs’ focus in the market.

Nabi’s a fan of the 4-2-3-1 in place at Kaizer Chiefs

Nabi is a proponent of the 4-2-3-1, a formation Chiefs fans know well having seen Arthur Zwane employ it for the majority of the 2022-23 campaign. Does that mean we’ll see a similar starting XI? Not necessarily, but at least the foundations are there. Nabi’s Yanga side scored 84 goals from 35 matches last term, a healthy return, and we could expect a more attack-minded 4-2-3-1 with ball-players in the middle of the park.

Another option is Young Africans holding midfielder Yannick Bangala, who wears their number 4 jersey. The Congolese schemer is also one of the club’s most prized assets.
