Orlando Pirates have received a huge boost in their goalkeeping department with their No.1 shot-stopper set to stay beyond June.

According to a report by Unplayable, Richard Ofori is staying put after having reached an agreement with the club over a new deal.
Ofori was linked with a possible exit from the club after it was reported that Pirates couldn’t meet his demands.

However, the two parties appear to have finally agreed, and Pirates fans can expect to see Ofori again next season.
Meanwhile, the publication reports that the goalkeeper that is actually likely to leave is none other than Siyabonga Mpontshane.

Mpontshane has been with Pirates for almost a decade, and he’s one of the club’s captain but he hasn’t featured since 29 October 2022.

Former Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Andile Jali is set for a sensational return to Orlando Pirates if local media reports are to be believed.

According to a source known to FARPost, Pirates stand a good chance to sign Jali who spent four years with them between 2009 and 2013.
Jali is currently a free agent following his departure from Sundowns, and he’s been linked with several clubs including Stellenbosch FC, AmaZulu and Cape Town City.

However, the publication reports that Pirates are in pole position to bring him back on a short-term deal come next season.
