Grealish repaying City’s £100 million transfer fee

Manchester City winger Jack Grealish is slowly paying back the £100 million transfer fee following an impressive season.

The 27-year-old England international has already won two trophies with City this season and could end up winning a treble.

Grealish had a frustrating start to his City career when he signed for £100 million from Aston Villa but has since adapted to Pep Guardiola’s game.

Following City’s 2-1 win over rivals Manchester United in the FA Cup final,  Grealish said it meant the world to him to place an FA Cup winners’ medal around his neck.

Grealish relishing new challenge

“It’s something you dream of as a little kid,” he declared.

“We know what it means to play in this and to play in a final. I lost one when I was at Aston Villa and I was desperate to win one.

“The best thing about this team is we have a mix of everything. We have confidence, experienced and younger lads, and so much belief in ourselves and it showed out there,”  Grealish added.

The winger says he and his colleagues will enjoy winning at Wembley before reigniting the hardwork ahead of the European showpiece.

“I’m going to enjoy it of course. Then tomorrow it’s straight back into training and recovery ahead of next week,” Grealish said after the win.

“I love this team so much, the players and the staff. Hopefully we can have a good week and then get ready for next week.”

Grealish is expected to be in action next weekend when Manchester City take on Inter Milan in the Uefa Champions League final at the Atatürk Olympic Stadium in Instanbul, Turkey.
